As a member of the French Fab and committed for many years to the development of industrial excellence that is constantly challenged and renewed, ACTIA is proud to count its French industrial site specialising in electronic production and assembly among the Showcases of the Industry of the Future.
« We are particularly proud to witness this transformation of our industrial site, as it testifies to our ambition for a vibrant and multifaceted electronics, as well as the commitment of all our teams. »
David ELIZALDE, Director of Innovation Programs
The « Industry of the Future Showcase » label

The « Industry of the Future Showcase » label created by the Industry of the Future Alliance (AIF) and led by a committee bringing together other professional organizations — France Industrie, UIMM, GIFAS — the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, and Bpifrance, rewards companies that have implemented a transformation project for their industrial site. This transformation project is generally based on digital technology and involves the teams in a major way in line with the dynamics of Factory 4.0 and Factory 5.0.
The modernisation of the Colomiers plant
The transformation programme for the ACTIA industrial site is a major modernisation process, with the installation of a first large-scale production line and then a second. From a production focused on complex small and medium series, the site has evolved into a complete range of electronic production services anchored in France and in its home territory: Occitania.
Several major projects have made it possible to carry out this transformation:
- The implementation of particularly successful automation processes, including robotization and cobotization on large series lines,
- Digitalization and the implementation of collaborative platforms,
- Change management with several axes: the reinforcement of operational excellence, the training of operators for more versatility and above all towards higher value-added missions.
The presence on the same industrial site of complex production in small and medium series and production in large series allows each type to evolve towards greater performance and more competitiveness. Thus, complex series processes develop with accelerated and optimized flows, while large-scale production has the particularity of managing different variants for the same product.
This transformation of the ACTIA industrial site was based on the Group’s operational and industrial agility, which operates in particularly demanding markets and in an environment impacted by multiple geopolitical, climatic and health disruptions.
